Forester Base: the standard-equipment starting point.

The 2026 Forester Base is the entry-point trim and the lowest MSRP in the lineup. It works best for the buyer who wants the Forester capability set at the lowest entry price and does not need leather, premium audio, or off-road-specific features.

The Sport repositions the trim for buyers who want an athletic visual character on the Forester platform. It is not an off-road-focused trim; that role belongs to the Wilderness. Bronze accents and 19-inch alloy wheels.

SI-DRIVE selectable engine modes (Intelligent and Sport) come standard across the 2026 Forester lineup. Forester Limited: leather, audio, and luxury.

The Limited is where comfort gets serious: leather and premium audio, without paying all the way up to Touring. It's the refined daily-driver most Prescott families settle on. (The ones who go higher usually jump to the Wilderness instead, for the off-road capability.)

Leather-trimmed seating and power adjustment.

Leather-trimmed seats with perforated inserts replace cloth from Sport down. The front-passenger 8-way power-adjustable seat joins the 10-way power driver's seat so both front-row occupants dial in their preferred position. A heated steering wheel comes standard.

Available Harman Kardon premium audio.

The Limited offers the Harman Kardon premium audio system as an option (it comes standard on Touring), and it is the audio upgrade that has moved more buyers from Premium to Limited on our floor than any other single feature. A wireless device charger rounds out the technology stack.

Forester Touring: top-trim luxury.

The Touring is the top of the ladder for comfort. It takes everything the Limited has and adds Nappa leather, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. It's a narrower pick here, since most top-trim Prescott shoppers choose the Wilderness instead. The full list is below.

Nappa leather and heated/ventilated seating.

The Touring upgrades to Nappa leather-trimmed seats and adds ventilated front seats on top of the heated fronts that start at Premium. It is also the only 2026 Forester trim with heated outboard rear seats. The heated steering wheel, shared with the Limited, rounds out the winter kit for Prescott elevation.

Driver Focus and acoustic-laminate glass.

Driver Focus watches for distracted driving with a facial-recognition camera. Among the gas trims, only the Touring has it. Acoustic-laminate glass up front drops cabin noise on the highway runs to Phoenix or Flagstaff. Comfort over off-road specs? The Touring delivers.

9.2 inches of ground clearance and Geolandar A/T tires.

Per Subaru USA published 2026 Forester Wilderness specifications, the Wilderness runs 9.2 inches of ground clearance (versus 8.7 on other trims) and Yokohama Geolandar A/T all-terrain tires standard. The Wilderness-exclusive second X-MODE.
