Subaru Share the Love Event

It was reported in March that the 2019 Subaru Share the Love Event, which took place over November and December of last year, reached a whopping $30.4 million to be donated to charitable causes. The event, first started in 2008, has raised over $175 million since its inception.

The 2019 Share the Love Event kicked off in November, where Subaru employees at the event’s headquarters in New Jersey came together to pack weekend meal kits for kids in partnership with the Food Bank of South Jersey. The event generated 15,000 KidzPacks, which each contain four meals.

Every year during the Share the Love Event, Subaru donates $250 to the charity of the customer’s choice for every purchase or lease of a new Subaru vehicle at one of the more than 600 participating dealerships around the country.

Subaru also encourages other service projects during the Share the Love Event; in 2019, over 200 Subaru retailers banded together to donate another $1.1 million through a vehicle service donation program.

Nationally, Subaru partners with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Meals on Wheels America, the National Park Foundation, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Individual dealerships can also partner with local charitable organizations to donate Share the Love proceeds to.
