2019 Subaru Ascent
Subaru of America has set a new record for the January month of sales. The company reported 46,285 vehicle sales in the first month of the year, which was a 0.5 percent higher than the previous record set in January 2019.

This strong Subaru January sales performance helps keep the momentum rolling for Subaru, which has achieved eleven consecutive years of record sales. In 2019, they exceeded 700,000 annual sales for the first time in their history. January 2020 was also the 71st consecutive month of at least 40,000 vehicle sales for the automaker.

The Subaru Ascent kept on trend and achieved its best January ever with 5,606 vehicle sales, which was a 12.6 percent growth from January 2019. The Outback managed a four percent sales increase and the Legacy had a 2.8 percent increase when compared to January 2019. Subaru sold the most Forester models in January with 13,209 sales.

Subaru also managed to win themselves multiple awards in January. Five models — the Crosstrek, Impreza, Forester, Legacy and Outback — all won Kelley Blue Book 2020 Best Resale Value Awards in their respective categories. Subaru also won an award as a whole by being recognized as “Best Brand” in the 2020 Best Resale Value Awards for the fourth time in nine years.
